I am a native of Colombia working as a Structural Engineering with DLK Engineering. During my graduate studies, I worked on a project entitled "Evaluation of UAV as a Bridge Inspection Tool". My research was conducted to promote and develop new and innovative techniques to inspect bridges to decrease cost and risks involved with current inspection practices. To see more of my current and past works, go to the "projects" tab. Currently, I design structures with different materials such as wood, concrete, and steel. I am a former tennis player and Masters of Science student in Civil Engineering with Structural Engineering emphasis student at SDSU. Member of Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi, and former VicePresident of Engineers Without Borders-SDSU. Member of the EWB Domestic Application Review Committee, SEI Student Initiatives, and SEI Timber Bridges Committees. During my free time, I enjoy playing sports and traveling around the world with my wife and son. I also enjoy blogging about personal growth topics and helping others achieve their full potential. Recently, I have been actively involved in EWB- Rocky Mountain Professionals as I help communities with limited resources overcome daily challenges. My goal is to, as I advance in my professional career, increase my involvement with EWB, ASCE, and SEI to promote and assist communities, not only in the US but around the globe with their engineering challenges and provide them a brighter future.
